Day 39: Layers and Support

Second View Inside Front

A step back reveals more: the inside of the front now layered with canvas, hair cloth, and cotton—each with its role.

A new cotton strip is basted in place, reinforcing the lower front where buttons and buttonholes will later find their home. Quiet structure added in advance.

And at the pocket, the canvas has been carefully slashed and tucked under the seam allowances, sliding beneath the pocket bag—securing the fabric from behind, hiding all signs of construction.

The goal? A smooth front. Support without weight. Strength without force.
