Adding Hair Cloth Cover

Another layer is added—a bias-cut piece of cotton, hand pad-stitched over the hair cloth. Its purpose? Fullness and refinement.

It rounds the chest ever so slightly, softening the stiffness beneath and protecting both the lining and the wearer from the raw texture of the hair cloth.

Not every layer is there to be seen—some are there to be felt, or never noticed at all. But they make all the difference.
