Day 16: Making the Sleeve Back Seam

Making Sleeve Back Seam

Pinned in place, the back seam of the sleeve is ready to be stitched. The foundation is already set—the vent reinforced, the interlining secured, the hem edge carefully finished by hand. Soon, the sleeve will take on its full shape, its movement and weight defined by what is now invisible.

Much of bespoke tailoring is like this—layers of work hidden beneath the surface, details that may not be seen in a photograph but can be felt in the way a garment moves and rests on the body. A richness that speaks not in decoration, but in presence.
