BWL is short for the back waist length.
It’s measured from the nape of neck, at center back, and all the way down to the waistband, also at center back.
This measurement is an indication of how high your upper body is. It is absolutely dependent of where you’ve placed your waistband before you started your measuring. And therefore also related to all the other lengthwise measurements.
