Yes! The Basic Bock No. 5-2019 is now ready. It looks a bit Mondrian inspired! Maybe I should take that idea a bit further…? I think I will look into that here in the near future.

Now let’s head on to the next project – a wool wrap top!

When sewing in jersey, using an overlock machine is the most common method. It joins the pieces with an elastic seam, while overcasting and trimming the edges at the same time. It uses a whole lot of thread compared to hand-stitching, but, as often is the case, is much, much faster.

My overlock is a vintage industrial one, but still works like a charm! And have done so, for about 20 years or so.

Good morning! The Basic Black Turtleneck No. 4-2019 is now ready. What to you think? At least it’s very practical, stylish and can be used over, and over again for years to come. A favorite, as they say.

Almost finished with the Basic Black 4-2019 Turtleneck. Just need some hemming. Will do that on my flatlock machine. Tomorrow. Now, time for bed! It’s late, as always…
