Starting off with showing the No. 3-2019 Caped Back Dress with the waistband wrapped over the back part, instead of underneath it. Looks great too, right?

Well, let’s get this week started! Let’s make a new design! Go, go, go!

Almost a bit Supergirl-ish… A caped back! Or, let’s say, a somewhat rococo-inspired drape maybe? Anyhow, with just adding another “cut-through” at the side, you’ll get some great new possibilities added to the look of the dress. I think it’s rather elegant! And a bit dramatic. And very, very three-dimentional. What do you think?

So the dress is now put together. With a bias cut puff sleeve, and an integrated wrap effect to be. But what embellishment to use? I thought I wanted to give this dress some extra… well, extra!

Found these ribbons in my archive – a brown narrow velvet band, and a wide green silk-like ribbon. Together with the silk blouse it’s really… festive! Yes! Let’s do this! Let’s have fun!

Let’s finish up this dress! Let’s go, go, go!

Here’s the hand-stitched “pussy-bow” collar up close. It’s actually an enlonged collar stand that is kept rather soft at the front. I really do like the fullness it gives at the neck, especially with the flowery print on the silk fabric. Kind of dramatic.

You can also see the bust dart draped up to a soft pleat at the neck. It all gives a “natural” flow to the garment, I think. What do you think? Do you like it? Let me know.

There! The hand-stitched silk flower blouse No. 1-2019 finally finished! Yes! Feels great.

This blouse is compleatly hand-stitched and draped in one piece. It’s also sleeveless. And it features a “pussy bow” – an enlonged collar that can be arranged in a large bow at the front.

Combined the No. 2-2019 Dress with a unfinished blouse I’m working on, just to see how it looks – and I like it! What do you think? It’s really a splash of color right there!

Since the No. 1-2019 slot became available here earlier on, I decided to use that name for this blouse now, including it as the yers first garment (allthogh it will become Finished the second). Sometimes things just end up where they want to be by themself’s right?

Re-made the drape from earlier on with a little bit of pattern-making, to remove some of the width at the hem. I made a yoke and some shirring up against it with a cut from above down to the bust point.

I also “renamed” this new design No. 2-2019 due to the alternations. So that’s what we’ll call it from now on. Sorry for the confusion. But I hope it all will work out in the end.

Time to cut the fabric! Let’s do this!

Finally ready with 2019’s first drape! It’s made in muslin – a light plain cotton fabric – since I hadn’t fully decided on shape and fabric yet. Gives me freedom to play around and experiment a bit more. Great if you’re starting from scratch!

I went for a wider silhouette with adjustable waist and lots of movement (fabric) in the back. Do you like it?

Will cut the fabric tomorrow. Good night!
